Nazim accused of corruption

CHITRAL, Sept 16: Niaz Ahmed, senior vice-president of the People’s Party Parliamentarians, Chitral, has demanded of the government to stop district Nazim Shahzada Mohyuddin from using his official status and district government’s resources to win votes for his son, who is contesting for a National Assembly seat.

Speaking at a press conference here on Monday, Shahzada Mohyuddin said that all the resources of the district government were being used by the Nazim and his son, a PML-QA candidate, in the election campaign.

The PPP leader said that though the government had claimed that it had made arrangements to ensure fair and free general election in October, the candidate of what he called the “government-patronized party” was being helped by the district government.
