EU observers assured of free polls

QUETTA, Sept 14: A two-member team of European Union observers mission comprising Ms Margrade Alwais and Jerard Limrous, called on provincial election commissioner, Abdullah Khan here on Friday.

The provincial election chief informed the mission about the arrangement made for conducting elections in the province. He assured them that all possible efforts would be made to ensure free, fair and transparent polls.

He also said the EC would extend all cooperation to the members of the EU observers mission.

Later, talking to newsmen, Ms Margrade said their meeting with provincial election commission officials was useful and informative.
