KARACHI, Oct 5: Three outfits — Neighbourhood Club seniors, Gulshan Hawks (group A) and Bounce Club (group B) — have secured a berth in the last four of the flood relief basketball tournament (phase two) as winner of first phase Karachi Youth Club made exit at Kashmir Road court on Monday evening.

Neighbourhood Club seniors carved out 39-32 points victory over Gulshan Hawks to register third straight victory. The winners led 21-16 at half time.

Raja Jehanzeb and Ahad scored 11 and 9 respectively for winners while Mohsin (12) and Iqrar (8) were the main scorers for losers.

Malir Club gave a 40-32 drubbing to Karachi Youth Club in another group ‘A’ match of academic interest.

Bounce Club emerged group ‘B’ champions when they thrashed Neighbourhood Club’s junior string 41-27 after enjoying 21-18 lead at breather.

Saifullah (15), Mairaj (11) and Talha (9) were instrumental for the winners.
