Quaid’s death anniversary today

ISLAMABAD, Sept 10: The government has planned to observe the 54th death anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah in a befitting manner on Wednesday.

The national flag will fly at half mast on all government buildings across the country and Pakistan missions abroad.

The Sindh government will hold fateha khwani at the Quaid’s mausoleum in Karachi, and the radio and PTV will air spe-cial programmes, highlight-ing the achievements of the Quaid.

In Karachi, Sindh Governor, Mohammedmian Soomro, will lay a floral wreath at the Mazaar of Quaid-i-Azam, Mohammad Ali Jinnah, with the members of provincial cabinet.

In Islamabad, Fatehkhawani and ‘Dua’ will be offered at Faisal Mosque after ‘Asar’ prayers.

Federal Minister for Labour and Manpower, Owais Ahmed Ghani, will also attend the ceremony.

Nazria Pakistan Council has arranged the ceremony. People from the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad will participate. —PPI/APP
