PESHAWAR, Sept 6: The Pakistan Tehreek Insaf’s Peshawar district president and a candidate for NA-3 and PF-8, Mr Abid Iqbal, has claimed that his party would emerge victorious in the upcoming general election and would hold across-the- board accountability in the country to purge the society of corrupt elements.

Mr Iqbal in a statement on Friday said that the people were fed up with the traditional leaders and were looking for an honest leader like Imran Khan to put the country on the road to progress. He said that fearing defeat, the erstwhile enemies PPP and PML had joined hands for self protection but recalled that the people were not so fool to forget the harm given by these parties to the country.

THe PTI leader urged the people to cast their votes in favour of Tehreek candidates and reject the traditional looters of national wealth and turn-coats who changed colour with the tide of winds.

The PTI, he said was the only party which presented its manifesto for the elections, saying the rest of the parties had ruled the country in the past in one way or the other and had no programme to steer the country out of the prevalent messy situation.

He called upon the educated young people to educate the masses regarding the use of their votes and said that the votes were sacred trust and be used for the right people. Imran Khan, he said, would soon visit Peshawar to address different meetings.
