Published November 10, 2001

HYDERABAD, Nov 9: The Jeay Sindh Students Federation (JSSF), Mehran University unit, at a meeting held here the other day under the chairmanship of the central president of the federation, Kehar Ansari, has accused the university vice chancellor of jeopardising the future of thousands of students.

The meeting demanded that the term back policy, inordinate increase in fees and the condition of 75 per cent attendance should be withdrawn. The shortage of point buses should be eliminated and the interference of the law enforcement agencies in the affairs of the university should be stopped.

The meeting warned that if these demands were not accepted, the JSSF will launch a protest movement against the Mehran University VC throughout Sindh.—Bureau
