KARACHI Pakistan's fast rising pugilist Muhammad Wasim made a major breakthrough in his career when he won his first international gold medal in the Combat Games in Beijing, China on Thursday.

Wasim displayed a good technique and punching power to register a 11-5 victory over Dagoverto Agoero of Dominica Republic in the 52 kg weight division.

Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) have announced Rs.100,000 as a reward for achieving the feat. - APP
