LAHORE: Vendor shot dead by two

LAHORE, Nov 9: A vendor was shot dead by two unidentified men in Shahdara on Friday.

Police said Zafar Ahmad, 40, was called out by the men from his house on Lajpat Road. They took him along and on their way opened fire on him. He was taken to the Mayo Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The body was sent to the city mortuary for autopsy.

Police claimed that Zafar was murdered over a monetary dispute.

Zafar is survived by a wife and five children.

No case has so far been registered.

FOUND DEAD: An unidentified man, around 50, was found dead in Bhati Chowk on Friday.

Police claimed the man seemed to be a beggar and might have died of starvation.

The body was removed to the city morgue.
