Ramazan boxing

KARACHI, Aug 31: Pak National Club clinched three golds and a silver to win the Ramazan floodlit boxing tournament which concluded the other day at Young Lyari Boxing Club.

Zahid Shaheed Club finished with two golds and as many silver medals to secure second position.

Over 40 upcoming pugilists belonging to nine clubs featured in the contest which was held under the auspices of the KSBA.

Olympian boxer Malang Baloch, who represented the country at the 1972 Munich Olympics, graced the occasion and gave away the prizes.

Results: Boys' under-14:

26kg: Asghar bt Shahbaz Azad 2-1.

28kg: Hanif bt Zeeshan Azad 2-1.

30kg: Adil Kacchi bt Karim Azad 3-0.

34kg: Mohammad Ahsan bt Ahsan Kacchi 3-0.

36kg: Asfandyar bt Yousuf Kacchi 3-0.

38kg: Qadir Bux bt Zubair 2-1.

42kg: Asghar Nagori bt Munir Ahmed 3-0.

44kg: Zeeshan bt Faizan 3-0.

Junior under-16:

46kg: Badshah Khan bt Mohammad Shoaib 3-0.

48kg: Kamran bt Hafeez Qambrani 2-1.

50kg: Faraz Ahmed bt Mohammad Ahmed 2-1.
