PESHAWAR, Sept 4: The faction of the PPP, chief of his own Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, has asked people to vote that political party which genuinely represents the public aspirations.

The country needed pragmatic approach towards the resolution of people’s problems as hollow slogans had caused immense loss to the country, he said while addressing an election rally here at Gara Tajik.

PPP-Sherpao was an ideological political force that would positively contribute to the well-being of the oppressed strata of society, Mr Sherpao claimed.

He stated that the era of negative politics had gone, and now the politically conscious people would discard the elements of negativity in the October elections.

The PPP-Sherpao, he claimed, had fielded candidates with clean and ideological background, and the feedback from their nominations was very much encouraging.

He maintained that prospects of his party’s success were very high owing to PPP-Sherpao’s charming political plan and potent candidates.

The party would secure highest score in the election arena, paving way to the service of masses, he expressed hope and added that the true federal parliamentary democracy was the basis of our political party and every effort would be made to make this system beneficial for the country.

He continued that we had always raised voice for the provincial autonomy, adding that the viability of federation was hidden in the prosperity of the federating units.

With the end of provincial disharmony, the country would flourish and the masses would get rid of uncertainty, he added.

PPP-Sherpao had been struggling for the rights of all oppressed classes of the society, especially of the Pakhtoons, he said and added that the party believed in positive politics, and thus it had adopted a bold stance over the vital national issues.

Earlier, he had inaugurated the election office of NA-3 candidate Hidayatullah Khan Gara. PPP-Sherpao Central Information Secretary Barrister Iftikhar Ahmed was also present on the occasion.

MEETING: Charsadda ANP leaders Yunus Bacha and Dr Jamal Durrani, councillors Amanullah Khan and Mazzullah Khan and People’s Party Parliamentarians leader Rafiullah Khan called on Mr Sherpao at People’s House earlier in the day. They, along with family members and scores of companions, resigned from their parties and joined PPP-Sherpao.
