PESHAWAR, Aug 31: District Nazim Lakki Marwat, Humayun Saifullah Khan, has called upon the government officials to demonstrate total impartiality in the forthcoming general elections.

He was addressing various meetings of education, health, police and other departments in connection with the election preparations of the district government.

He said education was the foremost priority of the government which was why a minimum number of teachers would be deputed for election duty.

The district Nazim asked the revenue officers, patwaris and kanungos to facilitate the people in respect of public and private properties, so that a pleasant change is felt by the public following the devolution of power.

He directed them to assess the losses caused by drought and recent floods in a realistic manner for which he had approached the provincial government. The process of payments to the affectees would start soon, he said.

The district Nazim also asked the police authorities to take all necessary steps to ensure law and order during elections. —APP
