DERBY (England), Aug 29: Indian wicket-keeper Ajay Ratra stroked an unbeaten 101 against Derbyshire on the second day of the three-day tour match Thursday.

Derbyshire made a spirited reply to India’s first innings score of 445 for eight declared by reaching 228 for three at close of play.

The tourists, who resumed at the overnight 301 for five, closed their innings at lunch.

Steve Stubbings (66) and Rawait Khan, who ended the day on 77, gave Derbyshire a solid start by putting 131 for the first wicket. Dominic Hewson also showed good form in making 66 during the second wicket stand of 94 with Khan.
