GROWERS: About 20 growers of Mehrab and Machhar minors, speaking at a press conference in Hingorja on Saturday, said they observed a hunger strike for 15 days against water shortage.

They said they were assured by the Secretary, Irrigation, Mir Mohammad Parhiar that within a week water would be provided to them after desilting the minors.

They complained that despite a lapse of two weeks, neither the desilting machine nor the water, had arrived at the waterways.
