HYDERABAD, Aug 24: Sixth Additional District and Sessions Judge, Qazi Allah Bux, here on Saturday granted interim pre-arrest bail to the secretary of Hyderabad Gymkhana, Javed Iqbal Junejo, in the case of the death of an electrician, in the sum of Rs100,000.

The electrician, Yasin Kachi, was electrocuted on July 20 while restoring power supply to the residence of the accused in Sindhi Muslim Housing Society here.

The counsel of the accused claimed the accused received a phone call from his house about the suspension of power supply to his house due to some fault. He said his client sent Yasin to check the connection of his house and rectify the fault.

The deceased, he claimed, on his own scaled over the electricity pole and was subsequently electrocuted. He claimed his client did not know that power supply to his house had been disconnected.
