Soomro to contest polls from Thatta

THATTA, Aug 21: Sindh Governor Mohammedmian Soomro will contest election for the Sindh Assembly seat PS-88 (Gorabari- Kharochhan) in Thatta district.

This was stated by the spokesman for Shirazi group, Hanif Memon, here on Wednesday.

He said that he has obtained the nomination papers from the Returning Officer and the Senior Civil Judge, Iqbal Khawaja, on behalf of Mohammedmian Soomro on Tuesday.

The nomination form will be submitted before Aug 24.

Soomro has the support of the Shirazi group headed by Syed Aijaz Ali Shah Shirazi, he added.—APP
