KARACHI, April 11 Dr Safdar Sarki, until now the secretary-general of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) announced on Sunday his decision to quit the party along with his other party colleagues and to revive the Jeay Sindh Tehrik (JST) founded by late G. M. Syed.Speaking at a press conference along with his like-minded partymen at the Karachi Press Club, Dr Sarki accused JSQM president Bashir Qureshi of indulging in irregularities and misconduct of serious nature, and said he took the decision after the party chief did not even heed his repeated objections at various party meetings that the JSQM was deviating from its basic objectives.

Dr Sarki declared that the JST would also revive the Jeay Sindh Students Federation (JSSF) and other party wings and that a JST convention would be convened within the next six months to elect the new JST office-bearers. During the interim period, he added, Mohammad Rahimoo would act as the JST secretary-general.
