ISLAMABAD, Aug 13: The United Nations on Tuesday launched a “UN Works” website for Pakistan.

The website, which is part of the inter-agency UN Works programme, describes the working of the UN system and makes it accessible to the common man.

It features eight profiles of persons working with different UN agencies, like the UNDP, Unicef, UNAIDS and Unesco. It would focus on their work in collaboration with the UN agencies. Each profiles highlights struggles and aspirations of individuals and describes their daily life. The articles will be updated and new items be added on regular basis.

Links to relevant UN agency sites, public and private partners in different projects, including government agencies, NGOs and businesses are also available on the website.—Our Reporter
