Woman loses valuables, cash

HARIPUR, Aug 12: Some masked bandits deprived a woman of valuables and cash in a nearby village, Doyean Aabi, on Friday night.

According to Ms Riaz, whose husband is abroad, said the dacoits, who were looking like Afghans from their accent and physique, held the entire family hostage in a room at gunpoint for few hours and decamped with gold ornaments weighing over 28 tola, colour TV, audio cassette player, video cassette player, camera, bicycle, Rs11,000 in cash and costly unstitched suits.

The bandits loaded these on an a vehicle and drove away.
