PESHAWAR, Aug 10: The residents of Sikandar Town have expressed concern over the construction of a CNG station in their area and have asked the authorities concerned to stop the construction to save them from health hazards.

Talking to Dawn on Saturday, many people of the area, situated on G.T. Road, said the authorities had given permission for the construction of a CNG station in their residential area.

The construction of a CNG station in a residential area was illegal, they said, adding that its construction would create noise and air pollution and would affect more than 400 families in their locality. They demanded of the authorities to visit the area and order stoppage of the construction work on the station.
