PESHAWAR, Aug 10: Provincial president of the Pakistan People’s Party, Khawaja Muhammad Khan Hoti, has urged the party workers to get united and wage struggle for the progress and promotion of the PPP.

He was talking to a team of newsmen which called on him on Saturday, a press release says.

He said it was the time to invite youth in the party ranks for paving way to help enforce real democracy in the country.

Mr Hoti held out assurance that honest workers would be preferred to contest polls on party tickets.

He claimed that PPP would fight every move aimed at introducing presidential form of government in Pakistan.

About the elections, he said the Election Commission had to play its role for holding free and impartial elections.

The apprehensions of political parties about any sort of involvement in the electoral process should also be removed, Hoti said. To a question, he said contacts with political parties were in progress to form coalition with the like-minded parties.—APP
