QUETTA, Aug 8: One person was killed and five others were injured, two of them critically, when armed tribesmen opened indiscriminate fire on their opponents in Kharan Session Court premises, on Thursday.

The police sources said two tribal groups had an old enmity and had been facing court trial in Session Court Kharan.

When the court acquitted accused of one group on Thursday as charges against them could not be proved. The other group became violent over the court judgment and opened fire with automatic weapons resulting in killing of one person identified as Mohammad Ayub and five others received bullet injuries.

The injured were identified as Amir Bakhsh, Mohammad Aqueel, Nabi Bakhsh, Mohammad Aslam and Ali Mohammad. The injured were rushed to civil hospital by the police and local administration. Later two injured were shifted to Quetta.

The attackers escaped.

TRIBAL CLASH: In another tribal clash between two rival groups of Umrani, in Tumbo area of Nasirabad district, one person was killed, and two others were injured.

The tribesman killed in the clash was identified as Abdul Karim.
