KARACHI, Jan 27 Sindh No 1 Eman Malik made short-work of Urooj Iltifat to land the women's singles title in the SSB Development Series Tennis championship played on Tuesday evening at the City Sports Complex.

The 18-year-old Eman who is catching up fast in the circuit trounced her opponent 6-0, 6-0 in the final.

The final was staged earlier as Eman had to fly to Islamabad to represent Karachi University in the Inter-university girls' tennis championship.

Meanwhile, top seed Nawab Muzaffar of Mirpurkhas and second seed Saif Noor Sumar stormed into the men's singles semi-finals on Wednesday. The outstation player defeated Fayyaz Ahmed 6-4, 6-2 while the second seed carved out 6-0, 6-0 victory over Adeel Imtiaz.

Mubbashir Afridi and Omer Shahid have already sailed into the last four.

M. Bilal Imran defeated Suhail Fayyaz 8-6 to win the boys under-9 singles crown.
