HUB, Aug 4: A team of Balochistan Fisheries Department has seized 11 Karachi-bound fishing trawlers between the night of Friday and Saturday near Gadani, and arrested their crew members on the charge of illegal fishing.

Fisheries department sources said on Saturday that a team has been formed headed by fisheries officer Mola Bakhsh Baloch to check the unlawful and illegal fishing along the Mekran coast.

The team during patrolling found these trawlers fishing with illegal nets and seized them arresting 22 crew members of these trawlers.

The trawlers were reportedly fined Rs100,000 each.
