KARACHI, Dec 30 Three Davis Cuppers — Jalil Khan, Nomi Qamar and Yasir Khan — have confirmed their participation in the Sindh ranking tennis tournament which gets into action at the Defence Authority Club from Jan 7, the organisers announced on Wednesday.

Competitions will be held in men's singles, ladies' singles, juniors' U-17 singles, boys' U-15 singles, boys' and girls' U-13 singles, boys' U-11 singles, boys and girls' U-9 singles, men's doubles, seniors' 45-plus and 55-plus doubles.

The event, which carries a total prize money of Rs20,000, concludes on Jan 14. All outstation players are entitled to get daily allowance of Rs250 until elimination. Outstation players together with coaches and ball boys are also exempted from entry fee for one event. The entry fee is Rs200.

Last date for submission of entries is Jan 5.

Meanwhile, an Inter-school team championship will also run at the same venue from Jan 13 to 15. The last date of entries in the event is Jan 10.

The Sindh Tennis Association (STA) has asked all participants to carry their TPIN card.

Three local players namely Nasir Mushtaq, Abbas Raza and Zuhair Raza will not be seen in action. While the former has gone to US for studies, the Raza brothers have recently gone to Barcelona on a six-month training.
