Cash incentive for Irfan

KARACHI, Aug 3: WAPDA’s Muhammad Irfan who grabbed three silver medals in weightlifting in the on-going Commonwealth Games as per WAPDA’s incentive policy for the sportsmen, will be rewarded with Rs 150,000. He will also be promoted to the next higher grade as per the incentive policy.

Irfan is the first Pakistani to win weightlifting medal in last 30 years. He also set a new Commonwealth Games record in snatch competition of 69 kg category by lifting 140 kg weight and won silver medal.—PPI
