LAHORE, Aug 3: Chief justice of the Lahore High Court accepted on Saturday the resignation of Amir Iqbal Basharat, the Okara civil judge (First class) and Section 30 judicial magistrate, with immediate effect.

The chief justice ordered Israr Zaidi and Zafaryab Anwar, the Sargodha civil judges (First class) to tour Sillanwali and Sahiwal sub-divisions once a week, respectively, for disposal of cases.

The CJ also ordered Rana Sharafat Ali Nasir and Hasan Abbas Syed, Sargodha civil judges (Third class) to visit Sillanwali and Sahiwal sub-divisions, respectively, once a week, for disposal of criminal cases.

The CJ has also retired Imtiaz Ahmad Cheema, reader to the LHC, on medical grounds under Rule 3.3(3) of the Civil Services Pension Rules, 1964, on production of a certificate by the standing medical board of the Services Hospital declaring the officer as completely and permanently incapacitated for further government service. — APP
