KARACHI, Aug 2: Victory Sports overcame a spirited Tanzeem Sports 4-3 in the All-Pakistan football tournament at Baloch Mujahid Stadium Thursday.

The keenly contested match opened with two quick goals from Victory Sports within six minutes. First, Abdul Aziz pounced in the 20th minute to slam home the first, then Mahmood Raza fired in the second in the 26th minute.

Khair Mohammad pulled one back for Tanzeem Sports by converting a penalty kick in the 34th minute. Mohammad Khan cancelled out Victory Sports’ effort equalising four minutes before the half time whistle.

Victory Sports came back with a vengeance after the break and added two more to make it 4-2 within five minutes with Ashraf Bhutto scoring in the 65th minute, and Mahmood Raza netting in the 70th minute. Farrukh Iqbal got the third for Tanzeem Sports six minutes later.

On Friday, Jalal Murad managed a 1-1 draw with Wapda who found the cage in the 31st minute through Shakeel Ahmad. Mohammad Moosa’s 82nd-minute strike levelled the scores.
