HYDERABAD, Dec 10 Activists of the Pakistan People's Party-Shaheed Bhutto and its sister organisations brought out a procession here on Thursday and demanded that the United Nations Organisation and Supreme Court should review Mir Murtaza Bhutto murder case.

The party leaders Majeed Siyal, Kashif Baghi, Sattar Bhatti and Majeed Soomro who led the protest said that people wanted to know who had killed Murtaza Bhutto and why.

They said that democracy was never allowed to take roots in this country and appealed to UNO and apex court to review Mir Murtaza Bhutto murder case and disclose the facts. They said that Bhuttos and their workers were killed because they had raised slogan of roti, kapra aur makan.

Bhuttos promoted industrialisation, gave jobs to people and ensured social justice besides making country a nuclear power, they said.

They said that imperialist forces had always tried to do away with supremacy of law in Pakistan and used their stooges to eliminate great leaders.

In Nawabshah, activists of PPP-SB held a demonstration and observed a token hunger strike here on Thursday in protest against acquittal of the accused in Mir Murtaza Bhutto murder case.

The local party leaders Abid Baladi, Akbar Sodhar and Yar Mohammed Keerio alleged that the rulers had got the accused acquitted. The people who raised slogans of independent judiciary and speedy justice for the poor and the oppressed should be ashamed, they said.

They said that they would continue their struggle till justice was done and punishment was awarded to all accused in Mir Murtaza Bhutto murder case.

In Shikarpur, activists of PPP-SB took out a procession here on Thursday in protest against acquittal of the accused in the murder case of Mir Murtaza Bhutto and his companions.

The procession started its march from Lakhi Gate and reached the press club where the participants staged a demonstration.
