MIRPURKHAS, Aug 1: The Mirpurkhas District Council has resented the approval of the development schemes of Khushhal Pakistan Programme by the district monitoring committee, comprising the district Nazim, Naib Nazim, taluka Nazimeen and the DCO.

The session of the district council, held here on Thursday, demanded of the government to ensure the approval of the KPP schemes by the district council.

Speaking in the session, Ghulam Hussain Samejo demanded of the council to approve development schemes under Drought Emergency Relief Assistance for desert area of Umerkot taluka.

Khalid Pervez Sadaf, Mir Fateh Khan, Khuda Bukhsh Jarwar, Raheem Bukhsh Baloch, Pir Taj Mohammad Shah Jilani, Haji Anwar Talpur, Masroor Baig, Malik Liaquat Ali and Mehboob Ali Mari demanded that the process of membership of the school management committees be completed and funds be released for them.

They also demanded that transfers and postings of government officials should be approved by the district council.

The members demanded appointment of a Sindhi medium teacher in the local girls primary school.
