HUB, July 31: A new political party, Balochistan National Democratic Party (BNDP), was launched on Wednesday here by some BNP (Awami) leaders, including former MNAs Bezin Bezinjo, Hasil Khan Bezinjo, Shakeel Baloch; former senator Sanaullah Zehri; Tahir Bezinjo and others.

They, speaking at a convention at Citizen Club, announced their defection from the Balochistan National Party (Awami) and launching of the new political party. Bezin Bezinjo presided over the assembly.

The convention was started on Tuesday morning, in which over 300 councillors from across Balochistan participated, and continued till Wednesday evening.

The name of the new party, its flag, constitution and other related things were discussed and unanimously approved at the convention, and later the office-bearers were elected.

Hasil Bezinjo, talking to Dawn, said the basic reason for separation from the BNP (Awami) that it had left the Alliance for the Restoration of Democracy (ARD) and joined the National Alliance.
