KARACHI The Sindh High Court has issued directives to publish notices in UK newspapers to summon the former President Pervez Musharraf for hearing of a petition filed against him, requesting a case of treason to be registered against him.

The petitioner Maulvi Iqbal Haider told the court that notices were not being received at the former president's residence in Chak Shahzad.

The SHC Chief Justice then directed the petitioner to inform Pervez Musharraf through newspapers operating in the United Kingdom.

Former Attorney General Malik Qayyum and Senior Advocate Hafiz Pirzada have also been nominated in the petition and have been accused of treason with the former president.

Their counsels have been instructed to submit their comments in the court after the Eid holidays.—DawnNews
