DADU, July 30: The District Council, Dadu, through a resolution unanimously approved, has urged the district government to open utility stores and medical stores in every town financed from its own resources.

The Naib Nazim, Sadaqat Ali Jatoi, presided over the meeting.

The members through another resolution demanded the district government to construct public parks in every Taluka headquarters of the district.

Speaking at the meeting, the district Naib Nazim, Sadaqat Ali, said that the Dadu Sugar Mills would be privatized and the salaries would be paid to the employees.

The EDO, Education, Mohammed Aslam Turk, while briefing the members, said that 179 primary schools were closed in the district owing to non-availability of teaching staff.

However, 74 closed schools had been reopened in Johi, Dadu, and Kotri Talukas.

The EDO, Health, Dr Khadim Hussain Lakhair, informed the session that spraying had been carried out in 75 villages of Johi, Khairpur, Nathan Shah, and Dadu Talukas to kill sandfly.

DEMO: At least 300 employees of the Taluka Municipal Committee, Dadu, took out a protest rally on Tuesday against the non-payment of salaries to 380 municipal employees since the last three months.
