COLOMBO, Nov 5: No play was possible on the third and final day of the three-day tour match between Sri Lanka ‘A’ and West Indies Monday due to rain.
Just one day’s play was possible in the drawn game, with captain Carl Hooper scoring a strokeful 117 on Saturday to help the West Indies reach 334-7 in the first innings.
The visitors will play another three-day practice match, at Matara from Thursday, before the first of three Tests gets under way at Galle on Nov 13.
The West Indies will then take on the hosts and Zimbabwe in a triangular one-day tournament starting next month.—Reuters/AFP
