LAHORE, July 26: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal has lent its support for the teachers’ drive against denationalization of educational institutions.

In a statement issued here on Friday, MMA’s Punjab president Hafiz Idrees criticized the government policy to privatize the nationalized institutions and strengthening its control over the deeni madaris. He said the policy had caused extreme doubts about the government’s intentions among teachers as well as the general public.

He stated that the MMA would support the teachers and students of the nationalized institutions as well as of the deeni madaris resisting the government policy and force it to accept their demands.
