RAWALPINDI Some 152 suspects were taken into custody by the police during a search operation conducted Thursday in Rawalpindi's Pirwadhai area.
The search operation was headed by SSP Yasin Farooq. The people taken into custody were those who could not prove their identity or did not have any identifying documentation.
The police said people who are able to prove their innocence will be released, while action will be taken against others. Among the detained are a few Afghan nationals.
Law enforcement agencies have been directed to check suspicious activities, especially in the densely populated areas of Rawalpindi. — DawnNews
