KARACHI, Oct 17 Four qualifiers on Saturday advanced into the main draw of the inaugural Karachi Women's Open Squash championship at the Karachi Club.

Those who earned a slot in the main round include Madina Zafar, Bushra Haider, Faiza Zafar and Irum Jehan. All of them belonged to Sindh. They join 12 ranking players who were exempted from the qualifiers.

The event carries a total prize money of Rs70,000. The winner gets Rs13,300 while the runner up will receive Rs9,100.

Meanwhile, the details of the event were announced at a press briefing held at the KC on Saturday.

The main round matches begin on Sunday at 2.00pm followed by formal opening at 5.00pm.
