ATTOCK, Oct 15 A bogie of Rawalpindi-bound Railcar derailed soon after its departure while a bogie of another Mari Indus Railcar collided with a locomotive while shunting in two different incidents here on Thursday.
According to eye-witness passengers, the bogie of 266 Down Railcar was derailed near railway signal cabin of the railway station when it was changing the track while shunting towards platform for departure at about 630am.
Railway engineering staff came to the scene and detached the derailed bogie from the train, which left to its destination after about one-hour delay.
However, most of the passengers preferred to go by buses to their destinations. Later, the railway line was cleared after 11 hours effort.
Likewise, the bogie of 202 Down Mari Indus Railcar collided with an other locomotive at platform no-2 at 4pm due to negligence of shunting staff, causing minor injuries to two passengers.
Later, the train left for Mari Indus about one-hour delay.
