Death for killer

JHANG, July 25: Additional District and Sessions Judge Amjad Pervaiz awarded on Wednesday death sentence to a Harkatul Mujahideen activist who sodomized and killed a teenaged Sipah-i-Sahaba Pakistan worker in the year 2000.

The prosecution said that Ansar Ismayeel, a 14-year-old worker of banned SSP’s Rodu Sultan unit, had came to attend a public meeting of his organization at Jhang’s Ibrar Park on 27-7-2000.

Harkatul Mujahideen activist Junaid Ahmad took Ansar to the office of his party and killed him after sodomizing.

The accused was also fined Rs50,000 which would be paid as compensation to the heirs of the deceased.
