ISLAMABAD, Oct 12 The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) has decided to keep its offices in Islamabad and Rawalpindi open on Sundays.
According to Nadra's deputy chairman Tariq Malik, the facility will soon be extended to other cities and towns in the country.
The decision, he said, had been taken to speed up the process of registration and enable people working six days of the week to get themselves registered. It would help reduce rush at the centres, he added.
Mr Malik said that so far Nadra had issued 73 million CNICs, which is 81 per cent of the eligible adult population, covering 87 per cent of the male and 75 per cent of the female population.
