COLOMBO, July 25: In a letter addressed to Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, General Secretary of Tamil Eelam Liberation Front M.K. Eelaventhan has conveyed the ‘sentiments of the local Tamils and those living abroad’ regarding the detention of Thiru Vaiko in India.

Vaiko has been detained by the Tamil Nadu government.

The letter by Eelaventhan said that 70 million Tamils worldwide are ‘keeping vigil’ and awaiting ‘justice’ from the Indian government.
