All Karachi Snooker from today

KARACHI, Oct 5 The All Karachi Snooker Championship will begin at the Snooker Zone Club from Tuesday.

Some of the leading players, including former world and Asian champion Mohammad Yousuf, will be seen in action during the Rs60,500 event, organising secretary Shoaib Alam Khan announced on Monday.

The winner of the event will get Rs25,000, runner-up Rs15,000 while losing semi-finalists will collect Rs5,000 each.

The event will conclude on Oct 21. Overall 121 cueists representing different clubs of the city have entered the fray.

Jawed Ansari is the top seed while Mohammad Yousuf is the second seed.

Other seeded players taking part in the competition include Kamran Razzak, Umair Alam, Mirza Shadab Baig, Abdul Sattar, Irfan Rasheed Khan and Naseem Paracha.—APP
