ISLAMABAD, July 22: The Mazdoor Kissan Party (MKP) chief, Fatehyab Ali Khan, arrived here from Karachi on Monday to join an 8-member Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) delegation which will call on President Gen Pervez Musharraf on Tuesday.

The GDA chief, Hamid Nasir Chattha, who is also president of PML(J), will lead the delegation which has been invited by the President for consultation and exchange of views on the proposed constitutional amendment packages.

Talking to this reporter Mr Khan, who is the chairman of the GDA’s constitution/foreign affairs committees, said that the Alliance members had gone through the proposed amendments with a fine toothcomb and hoped that the President would find the suggestions finalized by the GDA highly persuasive.
