ABBOTTABAD, July 22: District council members have declared the council budget ambiguous, and demanded that confusion about various matters in the budget be removed.

Debating about the budget during a session of the council here on Monday, they objected to those schemes and projects, which have either already been completed or approval for them have been sought.

Nighat Afsar Jadoon Advocate alleged that funds had not been allocated equally for the uplift schemes and expenditure of the 46 union councils of the district.

She said funds had been distributed on ethnic basis, while some union councils had not been given any funds, especially under the Khushhal Pakistan Programme.

Others who spoke against the budget were Iftikhar Khan Jadoon, Malik Basheer, Sajida Masood and Abdulla Tanoli.
