Judge dies in car crash

SADIQABAD, July 22: Khanpur additional district and sessions judge died in an accident while Liaquatpur additional sessions judge and driver sustained injuries on Sunday.

Judge Mian Naseer Husain, posted at Khanpur, was on way to Lahore at weekend by a rented car. Liaquatpur judge Sheikh Muhammad Abid also accompanied him. As the car reached near Basti Bari, about four kilometres from Liaquatpur, one of the front tyres of the car burst as a result of which it overturned. Mian Naseer died on the spot. Judge Sheikh Abid and car driver Sajjad Husain sustained injuries. They were admitted to the Liaquatpur Tehsil Headquarters Hospital and were reported out of danger.

The late Mian Naseer was promoted as additional sessions judge last month.
