KOHAT At least 20 militants were killed after fighter jets destroyed 11 training camps and six vehicles of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan in lower Orakzai Agency on Saturday.

In a surprise attack the jets pounded vast area of Chappri Ferozekhel where the main training camps of the TTP were situated.

Eleven camps and hideouts of the militants were destroyed in Utmankhel, Said Khalil, Anjani and Saultanzai areas.

Officials said the assessment of the damage was in its initial stage at the time of filing of this report by security forces on the basis of eyewitness account of pilots as there was no other source to confirm casualties.

They claimed that “huge damage” was caused to the Taliban camps and houses in the bombardment.
