PESHAWAR, Sept 3 A district and sessions judge, Syed Mussadiq Hussain Gillani, affected by the July 31 verdict of the Supreme Court was posted as registrar of Peshawar High Court on Thursday.

According to an order issued by the high court 21 judicial officers have been transferred and posted. The order said that Syed Mussadiq Hussain Gillani had been posted as high court registrar. He will replace Qalandar Ali Khan, who would join his new assignment as chairman of NWFP Services Tribunal.

Mr Gillani was serving as registrar of the high court when the Nov 3 emergency was imposed by General (retired) Pervez Musharraf in 2007. He, along with five others, was elevated as a judge of the high court under the Provisional Constitution Order. But he was reverted to his position of district and sessions judge after the July 31 verdict.

An additional district and sessions judge at Peshawar, Jan Mohammad, has been transferred and posted at Dir Upper. He would replace ADSJ Mohammad Asim Imam who has been transferred to Mardan.

A woman ADSJ Mah Tallat has been transferred from Mardan to Abbottabad. She would replace ADSJ Mohammad Masood Khan, who has been transferred and posted at Balakot in Mansehra. Another ADSJ Mohammad Asif -II has been transferred from Balakot to Buner as ADSJ/ Izafi Zila Qazi. An izafi zila qazi at Buner, Sajjad Anwer, has been transferred and posted at Matta tehsil in Swat.

The other transferred and posted ADSJs include Khalid Khan, from Matta to Peshawar, Safiullah Jan from Dera Ismail Khan to Charssada, Mohammad Rauf Khan from Peshawar to D.I. Khan, Mohammad Bashir from Kohat to Bannu, Mohammad Amin from Bannu to Kohat, Faqirur Rehman Jadoon from Dir Lower to Peshawar, Mamrez Khan Khalil from Haripur to Dir Lower, Munawar Khan from Swat to Abbottabad, Madad Khan from Abbottabad to swat and Fazal Subhan Khan from Charssada to Haripur.

Meanwhile, a civil judge-cum-judicial magistrate, Ijaz Ahmad, has been posted at Abbottabad. Mr Ahmad has recently been restored by the high court. He had resigned from his post in 2007 and joined the lawyers' movement.

A woman civil judge, Hajira Rahman, has been transferred from Bannu to Lakki Marwat, whereas the civil judge at Lakki Marwat, Tilla Mohammad has been transferred and posted at Bannu.
