HYDERABAD, July 20: A lady doctor, Mahfooz Akhtar, died after being hit by a school van on CMH Road on Friday night.

Accompanied by her son, Rehman, she was trying to cross the road when the van No.SL-4705 run over her.

Cantonment police have arrested the van driver, Nasir Jamal, and impounded the vehicle.

Body of the deceased was lying at the local civil hospital and no one had turned up to collect it till late Saturday. It has been gathered that her husband lives in Saudi Arabia.

BODY FOUND: The Hyderabad City police found the body of a heroin addict in Chhotki Ghitti area. The body was handed over to Edhi volunteers for burial.
