Eight injured in clash

LARKANA, July 19: Eight people were injured as a result of infighting between two groups of Kalhoro tribesmen in the Hatri Ghulam Shah village on Friday.

The clash started over a land dispute. Axes and lathis were used in the clash as a result of which eight people were injured.

The names of those injured are Najaf Ali, Ayaz, Safeer, Sakhawat, Mohammed Quasim, Naseer Mohammed, Mohammed Hassan, and Shahid Hassan.

All the injured were admitted to the Chandka Medical College Teaching Hospital.

STRIKE: The people who were on hunger strike in protest against the encroachment on a park plot in Shaikh Zayed Colony called off their strike on the assurance of the district Nazim, Khursheed Junijo, who visited their camp here on Friday.

He assured them that the sale of plots would be stopped and the matter pleaded in the court.

He also met the sacked PTCL employees and assured them for the redressal of their grievances.

However, the lower employees organization continued its hunger strike with the announcement to continue it till the acceptance of their demand.
