MUZAFFARABAD, July 18: Federal Minister for Information and Media Development Nisar Memon will arrive here on Friday to attend a public meeting to mark the “Accession to Pakistan Day”.

The day is observed every year to commemorate the passage of a resolution by the working committee of the All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference in Srinagar the same day in 1947.

The resolution categorically called for the accession of the Muslim majority state to Pakistan.

National Kashmir Committee Chairman Sardar Abdul Qayyum Khan, AJK President Sardar Mohammad Anwar Khan, Prime Minister Sardar Sikandar Hayat Khan and other leaders would also speak at the public meeting.
