PESHAWAR, Nov 3: The NWFP government here on Saturday banned the entry of a number of prominent ulema and religious party leaders including JI, JUI and some other organisations in the province for 30 days, says a handout.

The action has been taken under section 5(1)(a) of the West Pakistan Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance, 1960 in the larger public iterest, said the handout.

The ulema whose entry has been banned in the Frontier province are: Maulana Masood Azhar of Sindh, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri of Quetta, Maulana Hafiz Hussain Ahmad of Quetta, Maulana Amir Hussain Shah of Okara, Maulana Abdul Ghani of Quetta, Riaz Durrani of Lahore, Maulana Ajmal Khan of Lahore, Maulana Azam Tariq of Jhang, Maulana Ali Sher Haideri of Sindh, Maulana Khan Muhammad of Mianwali, Professor Ghafoor of Karachi, Abdul Razzak Abid of Larkana, Liaqat Balouch of Lahore, Maulana Muhammad Murad of Sindh, Maulana Majeed Nadeem of Multan, Saleem Saleemi of Sargodha, Syed Munawar Hussain of Karachi, Maulana Jan Muhammad of Sindh, Professor Khursheed of Karachi , Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani of Quetta, Maulana Muhibur Rehman Inqilabi of Lahore, Maulana Shah Ahmad Noornai of Karachi, Maulana Ashraf Awan of Lahore, Allama Sajid Mir of Punjab, Dr Israr Ahmad of Lahore, Syed Salahuddin of Kashmir and Hafiz Muhammad Saeed of Punjab.
